I’m Liam and my goal is to help you travel the world on a budget.
I started traveling heavily during my sophomore year of college and never looked back. Since I didn’t have a big budget to work with, I tried to book trips as cheaply and as much as I could without compromising too much on quality.
I booked some very cheap trips, like New Orleans for a week for under $300 and Guadeloupe for the same price. I took weekend trips to Asheville for $120 and Zion, Bryce, Canyon, and Death Valley for under $150. All of these reflect both flights and accommodations!
I backpacked through Europe for a little over a month after I graduated and was able to kick my trip off with a $99 flight. I managed to visit 10 countries in that timeframe and owe it to the fact that I was flexible and traveled with only a backpack. Flexibility and traveling lightly are the two main factors that will save you the most cash, and they’re relatively painless.
These experiences prompted the creation of Vacation Vulture. I figured there are many people out there who would love to travel but think it is altogether too expensive. My goal is to arm readers with the tools they need to travel the world while spending within their means.
So, I aim to share the best deals I come across, tips, and tricks with you, and I hope you’ll be able to check off items on your bucket list with my help.
